The people of American life have lived their versions of glory and downfall. Subjects caught in the whirlwind of both take on a complexity that seems to exceed my words. My images function to reveal these cinematic qualities. It is a constant swap between the screen and paper, film and digital, typing and writing to document the qualities of transient people and scenes. Producing these images as physical objects, as towels, stickers, posters, or zines, confirms the original significance that the shutter had declared and puts the photograph back into the world.
